Description
Sodium hydroxide has a corrosive effect on fibers, skin, glass, ceramics, etc. When dissolved or diluted with a concentrated solution, it will release heat. It can precipitate metal ions from aqueous solutions to form hydroxides. It can cause oil to undergo saponification reaction, generating corresponding organic acid sodium salts and alcohols, thereby removing oil stains on fabrics.
